(WINNIPEG, MB) JULY 24, 2023 - Farpoint Films announced today the start of production on a new paranormal investigation 14-episode series, Ghosts Off Grid. Filming will take place throughout Manitoba and western Canada from now until early 2024.
Johnny Wiebe and Jordyn Penner, also known as the Paranormies on their wildly successful YouTube channel, are going deeper off the grid into unexplored territory to document hauntings and the unexplained that most wouldn’t dare to investigate.
Some of the most haunted locations tend to be outdoors, closest to nature and without interference from electrical grids. Johnny and Jordyn will investigate these spots off the grid, ensuring that there are no false positives from electricity allowing them to truly explore an environment in its purest form.
“Johnny and Jordyn have the experience and passion to do something new in the paranormal space that hasn’t been done before,” said Farpoint Films producer Chris Charney. “Audiences will be on the edge of their seats for what they uncover off the grid.”
For Johnny and Jordan, who have been hunting specters for more than 10 years together, Ghosts Off Grid marks a validation of their hard work.
“We are excited to partner with Farpoint Films and their amazing team who will help bring a wider audience to the work we’re doing,” said Johnny Wiebe.
“Through the use of new, exclusive paranormal technology, we will be bursting through the astral plane on previously undiscovered results that people have never seen before,” added Jordyn Penner.
Ghosts Off Grid is part of Farpoint’s deal with Super Channel to provide 150 hours of scripted and non-scripted shows over the next year, and will premiere in 2024.
