Farpoint Films sells supernatural shows internationally

WBD’s TLC Germany, Discovery+ UK acquire supernatural titles from Farpoint Films

Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) in Germany and the UK have acquired supernatural unscripted series Ghosts Off Grid from Canada’s Farpoint Films.

WBD Germany picked up season one of the show, which asks the question of where does human energy go when we die, for its TLC Germany channel, while WBD in the UK and Ireland acquired season two for Discovery+. The show is hosted by Johnny Wiebe and Jordyn Penner.

TLC Germany premiered the show on June 7, with Discovery+ in the UK set to stream it beginning August. In the UK, it will later run on WBD-owned digital channel Really.

Meanwhile, Hearst Networks UK has acquired the first season of UFO POV, which uses eye-witness accounts, footage, expert analysis and innovative special effects to show what a UFO might have seen from its own perspective. The in-production series will premiere on Hearst’s Blaze channel in 2026

In Canada, both series are commissioned by network Super Channel. Farpoint Films is based in Winnipeg and led by CEO and founder Kyle Bornais.
