A Fable About Beauty Plays At CFC Fest as Farpoint and Tony Wosk's Middle Child Make A Deal
Wednesday, June 02, 2010

Farpoint Films has reached an agreement with Middle Child Films, and its principal Tony Wosk, to represent the company’s interests in the Toronto market.
Wosk will consult for Farpoint on both scripted and non-scripted programming and will be responsible for representing the company with Toronto based broadcasters and distributors.
Most recently Executive in Charge of Production, TV Comedy for CBC Television, overseeing projects including the series 18 To Life and CBC’s flagship stand-up comedy series Just For Laughs, Wosk has also held positions in feature film financing, acquisition, and distribution with Christal Films Distribution and Telefilm Canada. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from York University's Schulich School of Business and a BA from the University of Western Ontario.
This business arrangement for Farpoint Films comes on the heels of director John Barnard’s latest project, the short film A Fable About Beauty, which will see its international premiere at the Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto on June 2, 2010.
Narrated by Michael O’Sullivan (Careful, Archangel) and featuring performances by Tracy McMahon (The Lookout, Fringe) Tricia Cooper and Sarah Constible, A Fable About Beauty follows socially inept losers Becky and Kimmy on their quest to meet their shared crush, notorious documentary cameraman Joel Stone.
Part comedy, part art film, part bedtime story, A Fable About Beauty is a unique hybrid of genres and a lyrical meditation on our misguided reverence for beautiful people. Known for the Comedy Network’s hit series House Party, the Hugo award-winning documentary Lost Bones: In Search of Sitting Bull’s Grave, and APTN’s reality boxing series Warriors: TKO, A Fable About Beauty is director John Barnard’s latest mini-masterpiece.
