Charney Nominated For Canadian Comedy Award

Chris Charney from Farpoint Films has been nominated for a 2009 Comedy Network Canadian Comedy Award in the feature writing category for his work on the film Wild Cherry.
The nominees were unveiled on July 6, 2009 in Toronto with the awards ceremony to follow in Saint John, New Brunswick during the Canadian Comedy Awards & Festival happening October 1 - 4th, 2009. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the comedy festival.
The public is being invited to vote for their favourties in Canadian Comedy at www.canadiancomedy.ca starting July 17th until July 31, 2009.
Past winners in the feature writing category include: Seth Rogen (Superbad in 2008) and Patrick Huard, Leila Bason, Kevin Tierney, and Alex Epstein (Bon Cop, Bad Cop in 2007).
